What this app is, in plain words
Slot Check reads the numbers on a machine's screen and compares them to lines Jay has published. That is all. It does not know the machine's history, it cannot see its settings, it can misread a photo, and it cannot change the fact that every spin is random. “Advantage” means the math tilts slightly in your favour over a very large number of plays; it says nothing about the next twenty minutes. People with a real edge still go home down on most days.
Ground rules worth keeping
- Set a loss limit before you walk in, and leave when you hit it. A PLAY verdict does not reset the limit.
- Never chase. A machine that “should” have hit by now still owes you nothing.
- Only gamble with money that is already spent in your head. Not rent, not savings, not borrowed.
- Time is a bet too. Decide how long you are playing before you sit down.
- Don't play to feel better. If you are stressed, grieving, drunk, or angry, walk.
- Know the rules where you are. Some casinos ban phones at machines; Nevada law restricts using devices to analyse play. That is on you — see the Terms.
Signs it has stopped being a hobby
- Spending more money or time than you planned, more often than not.
- Hiding how much you play, or how much you have lost, from people close to you.
- Borrowing, selling things, or skipping bills to keep playing.
- Feeling restless or irritable when you try to cut back.
- Going back to win back what you lost.
- Using gambling to escape problems or bad moods.
